I've no idea, I was only 9 at the time so I would have been with a babysitter somewhere. :-)

I do remember her well and kindly - and the chocolate and white Sunbeam Rapier that Jack bought for her! Like this one:

I just missed the review tickets for this at the Hornsey Journal - we often raffled them and I think Lesley Downes won this one. For me he was the king of the crooners - actually hitting the notes rather than sidling up on them like Frank!
