Think someone was hit by a car. No idea whether pedestrain or cyclist.

I was walking on the other side of the road (1:25-ish) and heard a bang but couldn't see anything due to traffic. Became clear from other people's reactions that something serious had happened but since I didn't witness anything I didn't feel the need to hang around to find out what.

Hope the outcome wasn't as bad as the response suggests.

I was told that a pedestrian walked out into moving traffic and was hit by a car.  The car was badly damaged - it was still beside the road when I got there - so I guess the man must have serious injuries.
