Injured bird

Does anyone know what to do with a injured bird (possibly sparrow)?

I found in my garden last night and has broken wing.

I kept in small cardboard box and wrapped with towel. The bird has good energy.

I have no experience with birds so I'm seeking for any advice.

Have you called a local vet? Some don't treat birds but can point you in the right direction. Or the RSPCA?

RSPCA has a long queue for their emergency line so I was looking for alternative.
