Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Anyone got a spare free TV for this lady, who has multiple health problems and has just been rehoused in a 'studio' in Green Lanes.  She has no TV and told me that she has the radio on day and night because she doesn't like the silence.

It would need to be delivered and set up by someone.

will there be a crowdfunder for the licence?

Oh I never thought of that.  Well, let's get the TV sorted first.  She's under the care of the local authority I believe.  Do they organise a licence for people on v low incomes?

There is a charity called Wavelenght that might help with a TV and license.

Looks hopeful for a TV. But

A note on TV licenses

It is important to note that we don’t usually pay TV licence fees, so the recipient of a TV will need to purchase their own. They can do this by calling 0300 790 6138, or visiting the TV Licensing website. If a beneficiary can’t afford their own licence, it may be best to request a radio instead. In exceptional cases, however, we may pay for licences for people with very limited incomes and severe inability to leave their homes.

https://wavelength.org.uk/apply-for-help/individuals/  they need paperwork to prove benefits etc

Ok thanks we can try them. She's on a State Pension nothing else.
