Beeping Noise - Hewitt Road

whereabouts on Hewitt? i think there’s a smoke alarm that needs its battery replaced in a property around number 64, but that’s been going on for EVER, not just since yesterday evening...

I live on Mattison road, and we have had one as well last few days. Have to put my radio on to block it out

I live at the bottom end of Hewitt road and last night I distinctly heard a constant beeping which prompted me to check my smoke alarms but they all seemed fine. The noise seems to be travelling a bit and so it is hard to locate. I asked my neighbours to check their alarm which were all fine. I thought that maybe it could come from Seymour road. It’s very annoying indeed

Thanks all for the responses - me and my flatmate were starting to worry it was in our heads! 

Currently there is now a power cut on Hewitt Road but beeping still persisting so must be neighboring road

Hi,

there has been a noise like a fire alarm battery needing replacing from the house next to ours (they are at 124 Seymour Road) for ages. I just took them round a battery, so we can see if your noise disappears now! (I asked if it didn't drive him crazy - he said he'd been meaning to get a battery but he guessed he just stopped hearing it after a while...  Sadly that didn't happen for us!). We just replaced a battery for the person in the downstairs flat at 124 a month ago as well...
