South Harringay School has a ‘charming’ self contained swimming pool - not everyone knows this little gem hidden on the ladder. As an independent swim school using the pool and passionate about its benefits to local community and teaching potentially life saving skills to babies, children and adults. The pool could benefit from significant investment but more importantly in these times some financial assistance to keep it open and operating.
Is there anyone who has experience in seeking and applying for funding for causes like this - particularly from organisations like Sport England that could advice / assist us seek funding.
Hoping someone can offer some expertise- thank you x

Hey ya, have you managed to find any funding options that might prove useful?
If not, I’d suggest South Harringay School’s parent body would rally behind keeping this resource open given a majority of their kids learn to swim there, so they are fully cognisant of the importance of the pool. Approaching their PSA for the pool to be their fundraising focus during the coming academic year would be the first step. The parents get to vote on which project the funds raised go to. And they raise quite a decent amount through their efforts.
Also, given it’s wider community benefit this could be crowd funded. Generations of kids/grandkids on the Ladder and surrounding areas have learned the vital water skills we all need at this pool. There would be a groundswell of support,
Hope that helps. Certainly let us know how you’re going and whether further support is needed. It shouldn’t fall to only you to assist an enduring community asset like this xx
