The Daily Telegraph is reporting today that a group of Turkish restaurants are rebelling against food delivery companies, calling on customers 'drop the app' when they could pick up themselves.
They claim that food delivery companies take as much as 30% commission on takeaway orders.
The Telegraph article singles out the restaurant owners of Harringay as being keen supporters of the campaign
The traders' push comes amidst fears that despite lockdown easing on July 4, footfall to restaurants will not return to pre-crisis levels.

It would be good if more of them had an online order form so you could order and pick up, I'm not massively keen about ordering in person and then hanging around waiting for it to be cooked at the moment, and ordering over the phone is always a bit of an ordeal.
