Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

For Sale: High Security Lockable New Yale Door Bolts

Our Insurance company instructed us to buy these bolts when we had new french doors fitted to the rear of the house.

The Yale website says the Following:

  • Suitable for securing single or double aluminium sliding doors by means of the steel locking bar
  • Also suitable for hinged doors and wooden doors (fixings included)
  • Steel bolt to be manually thrown and locked into position by use of the key
  • A key differing mechanism releases the bar from the frame

They're very robust and fuss-free. We tend to keep them locked on the side we use less and lock and unlock as needed on the other side. A mechanism holds the bolt up once it is retracted.

They're equally good for a front doors if you want a bit of extra security there.

They're not covered by any British Standards because they're classed as a secondary lock and there's no BS for secondary locks. But, given that these locks were recommended by our insurer, I'm assuming that they're a well regarded lock.

We have two more than we need.

They sell for between £25 and £35 each. (Amazon is £30.00 each)

I'm selling this pair for just £30 - in other words, up to half the cost you'll get elsewhere, or buy-one-get-one free!

Hi

May I please ask if these work for outward opening doors?

Thanks

Yes, they definitely do.
