In George’s on St Ann’s Road? Never seen any evidence of a card machine myself.

I've stopped going there since the chips are soggy more often than not. Now I use the Atlantic Fish Bar delivered via Just Eat - they're at 275 Green Lanes, N4. Great chips and interesting dishes such as veggie falafel wraps, etc.

If you want to go non-local, Golden Union in Poland Street off Oxford Street can't be beaten. The Flask in Flask Walk Hampstead has always done me proud too.

Why not try Toffs in Muswell Hill, it's won numerous awards
