Judging by the pathetic response of Hackney and Haringey residents to the call for distancing, I would expect this to happen through most other boroughs now.
All parks in H&F are to close with effect from 7pm tonight, until further notice.

Oh no. Life will be much harder without the parks.
Although before you all tell me .... they are places where people are definitely not recognising the risks.
I doubt they would have the money to successfully close off AllyPally.
Yes it makes life harder if the parks are closed but people just aren't "getting it" about social distancing. Has to be done ... and Haringey needs to do something pdq about this https://www.haringey.gov.uk/news-and-events/haringey-coronavirus-co... which reads like an encouragement to flock to parks, play spaces, gyms... I know that was 2 days ago but even then it was a mixed message. Today even more so
At a time of the year when Europeans are at their lowest levels of vitamin D, the instructions to "socially isolate" are being conflated with "stay inside" and this is dangerous. Apart from vitamin D, we have mental health and general exercise for our lungs to consider. Social distancing means keep to yourself, no hugging and kissing. It does not mean stay inside and die. Is this going to be another case of the "authorities" overreaching by closing these parks? When the tube was so rammed on Friday this really smacks of "everybody do something".
To help stay healthy it is important to have fresh air. I don’t have a garden like many others and would hate for the parks to close. Have been going to Finsbury Park where in general people have been keeping a distance. Please everybody maintain safe spaces , keep dogs on leads and explain to children not to bump into people. Wash your hands! Check the council website every day for updates.
