Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

I am looking for a new home for my 2 lovely Siamese Havana cats - sibling pedigree cats with paperwork but both neutered. We got them directly from the breeder, and they've lived in a family home with well behaved children (initially primary/secondary age) since then. They are indoor/outdoor cats with litter boxes inside which they prefer to use especially in winter. If you're able to play with them a lot and provide lots of stimulation they would probably be fine to be exclusively indoor.

The reason i'm looking for a new home is that with both my children are now older and not living at home most of the time, and me working longer hours/being away a lot- the cats are really missing out on human time. Because of the combination of their breed and their personalities, they really aren't happy left on their own most of the time and I am not keen to continue this pattern. Looking ahead i also know it's likely I'll be spending even more time away and i just think it's a bit cruel. Neither of my children are able to house them even though they'd love to.

The cats are highly sociable, in particular Bilbo (the larger one, a boy) who will plonk himself on any available lap. Skills- nesting anywhere on a person, super loud purring, peeing in open toilets (party trick). Eating broccoli left overs, disposing of cheese rinds etc.

Raina (female, smaller) is slightly more aloof but still sociable. Her party trick is playing ball- she loves a bit of fetch/catch fun. She's also a bit of a hunter and prowls the garden with elegance and great jumping prowess. (catches the very occasional mouse or insect) She also loves getting into boxes and hiding.

These cats are extremely clever, which is great for play, but you should be aware that they are rather devilish when it comes to getting in to things they shouldn't and quite particular about their environment. They will pee in protest for example if someone leaves something in their favourite spot or leaves the loo seat down so they can't pee in it. They also are more stressy than your general moggy - less time and attention for them results in scratching of carpets. They know what time i am usually up, so if i want a lie in i need to lock them in the kitchen so they don't howl the place down as the clock ticks past wake up /breakfast time because they're thinking I'm just a silly human who doesn't realise they are starving! I would expect they might need a bit of time to adjust to a new home as they're quite possessive about their current one.

I am not looking to sell them as they have been part of the family. Currently they are insured and i imagine you could continue that pet plan or choose your own. They would come with their full set up included - 2 large litter boxes, a water fountain, 2 radiator cat beds plus 2 other beds & various grooming tools and scratching boxes and of course whatever cat food & litter i have at the time.

Any interest do contact me. I'd be happy to introduce you!

ps: they've had doggy visitors and have been *not keen* as are many cats who have not grown up with a fido.

Update to this is that happily a family member has now said they may be able to take them after all- so I think unless that doesn’t work out cats now have a home lined up.
