Just popped in and noticed the John D 1950s band show is still banging along.. and I thought this old right wing marching music went out of favour years ago. Look Right - that's where danger (always) lurks. They got that 100% correct on the crossing.
Never mind John D .. it's just mild humour.
Ypu folk do realise you can want better roads AND think supporting LGBTQI+ residents is a good idea. It's not an either or moral issue. As things stand, there's a lot of "Oh, they've got money for the gays, but not for us normal people who have to drive roiund here' . . .
Gender politics is a black hole/cesspit that we don't want to descend into.
Supporting local LGBT residents and promoting tolerance isn't 'gender politics'.
It's just normal human decency . . . and it's only a 'black hole / cesspit' to be avoided if you think it won't affect you and yours.
Anyway, said my piece . . . I'll leave folk to get back to saying what a terrible waste of money this is and moaning. It's what HoL seems to do best these days, sadly.
I'd like to see a bit of tolerance towards the views of Bob Ruggles whom you describe as a " miserable bastard ". You may not agree with him but offensive comments are uncalled for.

1) you didn't leave;
2) let's hope your suggestion is not that diverse opinions should be stifled, or even that we should all be of one mind,
Light-controlled crossings don't have any markings in the road.
I think the big red light should nullify any argument drivers might have about being confused.
