But you know - it’s not like anything is going to be done about it. Just the way it is round here I guess. Certainly likely to carry on.

If you look at the Met’s "Our Strategy 2018-2025", in the section ‘Focus on what matters most to Londoners’, you’ll read:- “violent crime will be our foremost operational priority and we will tackle it with purpose and long-term solutions in mind.”
You’d be forgiven for thinking this wasn’t true following the three shootings at Turnpike Lane. Obviously we can’t know if there are active Met covert operations against the Turnpike Lane Tube drug dealers (aka The Somali Boys Gang) but let’s hope there are, and they bring some results soon. Sadly there’s little proactive patrolling there so I doubt they’ll deploy covert assets until the Borough Commander DCS Treena Fleming starts to feel some heat.
Local Councillor Zena Brabazon sits on Haringey’s Community Safety Partnership committee. It’s co-chaired by Treena Fleming. The next meeting is on 26th February 2020. It might be worth a few folk contacting Zena to see if she can get the Turnpike Lane situation onto the agenda so it at least gets discussed.
Mind you, in the Police/Council 'draft' Haringey Community Safety Strategy 2019 - 2023, all 10, 875 words of it, there’s not one mention of drug dealing. Not one.
Thanks to Mrs May's cuts years ago Our Borders are wide open
Herd its cheaper to buy a Gun now then ever
Aware Police are in area day and night
Just not when shootings take place
Only real answer is more good Quality Police Camera's to record incidents and hope that a decent judge Will put offenders away for a good period
Joys of living in such a Multi Cultured Borough.
Which such a High demand for Class A drugs
The type of young men involved falls into a stereotype, and they seem to be permanently unemployed. Any solution to the problem would be shouted down and vilified by our controlling liberal-left libertarians, meanwhile, nearly every day a mother loses a son.
It’s clearly drug related. And it’s clear it’s been allowed to become a huge profitable site because the police has shown no real interest stopping the blatant selling.
Why give a drug dealer your number when you can jump on a tube and walk up and buy them in public with no consequence?
You want to cut the problems, arrest and charge those who buy the drugs leaving those on the corner for now. Charge people and publicise the convictions at Turnpike Lane station. You will kill demand dead. You then make chancing your life on a corner when no one is buy a lot less appealing.
Actually, these days the serious suppliers will deliver. Ask your kids. Uber Britain !
And if you've been a bit quiet they can text to offer discounts or Christmas funnies!
There is none, no one wants to address the real problems. Ask any youth worker, if you can find one. They all got austeritied.
As explained before, drug dealing is so profitable. That they have someone take your money and other deliver the paid for drugs. so when challenged by Police neither has cash or drugs on them.
Police best hope is catching the main dealer delivering and collecting funds
But then again they use separate people to deliver and collect cash
Understand that some Authorities have made Lottering around areas restrictive
Also increased street lighting and good cameras
These days that means locals getting their elected Councillors Active and attending Police liaison meetings
You forgot to mention funding youth services.
different people selling, collecting money and delivering can be learned directly from the series "the wire" . We teach vice, we watch vice oursekves, our children are taught to enjoy watching vice and violence and to be greedy material gain and then we wonder why a certain percentage of a corrupt society then goes one step further
