How to get subtitles on TV
Looking for advice. My elderly very hard of hearing dad is visiting for Christmas. We have an older sony bravia TV and I was wondering if anyone know how to get subtitles on the TV?

On the remote press help
then press subtitles and then select ( button in the centre of the remote )

Good tip, John D. It's not only the elderly and hard of hearing that need subtitles; it's all of us, thanks to the sloppy, frequently inaudible speech of TV actors.

I grew up with subtitles in Denmark and having had them on while my dad was visiting it made me realize how differently you watch TV with subtitles on. I remember a friend saying that she and her husband always put it on while watching movies as they found they miss less that way.
