This weekend sees the first Leytonstone Film Festival, billed as "A spectacular free weekend of pop-up films and movie magic in unexpected places around Leytonstone".
All events, activities and screenings will be free and unticketed. There'll be screenings under the stars and in some of Leytonstone's "most iconic venues", alongside workshops, arts installations, music, markets and more.
The festival is produced by the Barbican Centre in partnership with local residents and organisations and Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019.

This looks really good - unfortunately it looks like the Gospel Oak to Barking trains aren't running again this weekend, as it would be really easy to get there from here.
Haringey needs something like this.
