I have 2 x 20lt Libby Chan Bokashi bins (one never used) along with some bran. It is an anaerobic composting system with plenty of information online. I have now gone back to more traditional composting. £10.
Collection from Lausanne Road N8.

Dear Tosh
Why did you decide to go back to traditional composting please?
Hi Marian,
I found that as a family of 3, we didn't create enough food waste on a weekly basis to make this system work properly. I have now purchased a HotBin mini and am hoping that this will work out better for us. I also have a compost bin (made from pallets) for garden waste. So I'm back trying to compost aerobically!
Ah thanks. I always thought the bokashi thing, though brilliant, seemed rather onerous, not for the absent-minded.
By the way I love your picture of the Olympic park, wasn't the planting great.
Tosh, it sounds like you made your own slatted bin - I would love to know if anyone has found a good one of these to buy? It's a set of notched strips of wood and you just layer it up to the right height. I bought one but it was very badly cut and didn't fit together, and the gaps were far too wide so the compost just fell out!
