Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
Wanted: Dog sitter/walker
Does anyone know of anyone in Harringay who would be interested in doing some occasional dog sitting, either at their home or ours?
Our dog is a delightful 6 year old Golden Retriever bitch (spayed), fully house trained, very gentle and affectionate. She's great with kids and other animals. She loves romping in the park but walks on a lead very well too. Like most Goldies she becomes sad if left on her own for more than a couple of hours. She currently goes to an 'at-home' sitter in Upper Holloway who is very good, but is a little too far away when time is tight.

Currently it would be just an occasional thing, maybe once or twice a month, for 3-6 hours at a time. We try to give lots of notice (3-10 days!) but there may be times in the future when we need someone at short notice. Sorry to be so vague: we are trying to build up a network of possible sitters as we only adopted Mollie last November and haven't needed much sitting as yet but with changing work routines and me having a badly sprained ankle we may need it more often in the near future.

How active is Mollie? I go running around Finsbury Park and up the Parkland Walk a couple of times a week. Would she like to tag along?

She could do the run though whether she would I'm not sure - she's being very stubborn at the moment - we think it's some kind of protest to me not being able to walk her. I'd love to say yes but I fear that she'll just sit down half way through your run and refuse to go any further.

Put me on your list after mid August. Live on alroy Rd so you can drop her off and i can take her for a walk in the park n' stuff - love dogs and feeling v clucky to start a family soon :o)
