Due to pass Harringay at about 0950 (departs KX at 0945).
This day trip from Kings Cross to Norwich was intended for 'Mayflower', which is not yet ready, the past hot weather has delayed its testing and commissioning runs.
Instead the loco will again be supersub 'Union of South Africa', beginning to be a familiar sight. The return will be about 2050 at Harringay.

Sorry, not much of a Sunday stroll then for those who turned up - chucking it down, and then this--
Late yesterday, while preparing the steam loco for today's trip, a small leak was found in part of the boiler, a consequence of the engine being used quite frequently recently without time to do maintenance like flushing the boiler free from scale (yes, in that sense it really is a very big kettle).
So, the next likely steam should be 'Flying Scotsman' on Saturday 13 Oct about 0745, one-way to York. This will be a special and significant trip for the engine and... well, more anon.
