Leaseholder - Installing Own Windows - Advice Needed
Hello,
I am a leaseholder of Haringey Council and want to install my own windows. I have requested an application pack from the council but admittedly finding all the requirements a little difficult. Has anyone else on here gone through the process who wouldn't mind answering some questions please? I have selected Anglian to install the windows and they are telling me that the can do the council application on my behalf for an additional fee. Has anyone had a window company do the application on their behalf? Also any recommendations for architects to do the drawings for planning permission would be most helpful.

Sabba,
Haringey's guidance is here and Anglian are Fensa registered so you absolutely don't need an architect to do any drawings for any planning permission. We had new windows put in by Oakwood Windows of Southgate. They sorted it all out without additional fees. Anglian should really do this without a fee but hey ho...
They'll just send something like this -

Thank you so much for the advice. Are you a leaseholder too? Oh wow they did for free! Anglian are asking for quite a hefty fee of £950 to liaise with the council on my behalf and that includes all the application fees etc apparently!
I shall take another good look at the guidance and start the process. Many thanks again :-) -
