I recently changed my car and wrote to the Council to ask for a new parking permit voucher. 10 working days later I have heard nothing apart from a computer-generated acknowledgement that they had received the application.
Has anyone else tried to register a change of vehicle and how long did it take ?

Same, just go to the library with old permit (take a copy of it) and new car docs, they will change in 2 mins, might have to q for 20 mins though.
Wood Green, go about 08.45 - there'll be a queue but there's really two queues, one for Parking and one for everything else. As Snoot says you should get sorted fairly quickly.
I went to the Tottenham customer service centre and was the only one in the queue for car permits. This was late morning on a Friday.
Many thanks. I'll give them until Monday evening and if no response I'll go to the Library on Tuesday.
Update.
I sent an e-mail to parking and got a response apologising for the delay. The response said to telephone and gave me a step-by-step guide to negotiating the options. After a bit of a wait I got through to a very nice lady called Jackie who emailed my permit and promised to post a paper copy as backup. So I'm now legal again.
Apart from the initial delay, good service from the Council.
