Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Check out this beautiful little contraption, handily located on the pavement next to the Lion King on Seymour Road. It attracts rubbish like you would not believe, men and animals urinate on it, and it smells wonderful in the summer. If you like stale piss that is.
It is chained to the wall, and has been there for at least 6 years, probably longer. I have called the council about it, but they will not deal with it, as it is "private property". Never mind the fact that it is on the public pavement.
So: This thing needs to be freed from hits chains. Any ideas on how to free this thing, and let it move on, hopefully with a little help from it's friends at the council eventually?

Matt, what he said to you is such bollocks! He's not telling the truth, that trolley has not been moved for years, look at the amount of rubbish inside it, and sand underneath. He also should not be chaining it to a gas pipe on a public pavement, it should live in the back-room of his shop.
Imagine the milk tranported in that piss-sodden thing.. YUCK. Surely Food Standards shoudl be alerted if that's the case.

Note to self; NEVER buy milk from the Lion King ever again. Cross road, go to Tesco.
Food Standards should be alerted if that's the case.

Yes, try that.
DONE! This piss-sodden thing will go away, and hopefully soon.
Well done. If he's using it for milk deliveries H&S will come into it. If he's telling us porkies then it has no clear reason to be there and can therefore be removed. Pincer movement.
True. He can store it in his back room.
I'll post here as soon as I hear back or see that the *(&^% thing is gone.
I am happy to report that this smelly little thing was indeed set free on Thursday last week, after a man from the council cut the chain. The Lion King people did not have a key. Funny that, as they claim to use this thing on a regular basis. Someone's been exposed as a bit of a liar methinks.

Thing here was meant to be collected last Friday, he's still there but now on his side. He deserves a lie-down after some 6 years on his wheels. I am assured he will be taken away tomorrow, Thursday. Looks like problem is about to be solved!

A metal scrap man will happily take it away.
Well done Anette, good for you. I did groan yesterday - when I passed it on its side it was being used as a handy seat for two men eating some yummy Zam chicken ...
It was meant to have been collected today, it's now going to be tomorrow. Not sure why this is dragging on so much. When I reported it to Haringey Accord yesterday the woman soundd really disintersted and then burped loudly in my ear!!!! Honestly! Not the brightest, those people.
Shame we can't get them to collect Zam's Chicken and have that removed too..
no?
So nearly there ... I've just reported it on fix my street - maybe repeated nagging will work? At least you don't get people burping at you!
True. And it's still there. Heads will roll on Tuesday morning...
