Great plumber
Adding my recommendation for Neil Protheroe. He was the third plumber I called. The first sucked air through his teeth and told me just how difficult a job it was and how it might be cheaper to buy a new toilet (then disappeared and never came back). The second was on holiday so I tried the highly recommended Neil, who said no problem. And indeed it wasn't. Very reasonable too.

I second that - he's a good'un - my toilet flush was broken and he very quickly found exactly the right part without any fuss or bother.

Ah Neil, here we go again. Lost my front door keys last time he was here. He was more stressed about it than I was, thankfully they turned up
I am just so so glad I have found a good and cheap plumber with him. Yes communication can be bit flakey at times if it isn't an urgent job and if he is very busy, but other than that he does a brill job, but certainly seems to cause a stir on here

I called Neil today because our shower had suddenly broken. He turned up an hour later, as he'd promised, and had it fixed 10 minutes after that. Highly recommended.

Just to add my endorsement of Neil too: we had a leaking bath & he came by very promptly to fix, charged very little and even chucked in some tip-top baby sleeping advice via his wife too. Highly recommended.

Based on reviews/recommendations here I have this week called on Neil for a couple of small repair jobs. I have found him easy to deal with and he seems competent. I would definitely use him again.
