Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Are patients of GPs in Haringey aware they now have access to GP appointments 7 days a week including bank holidays via 3 hub practices?

see http://www.haringeyccg.nhs.uk/ccg-news/more-gp-appointments-for-har... for details.

Apparently this has been in operation for some months.

as a patient of Queenswood since May i have just been advised of this.

wonder how many are aware throughout borough?

A couple of weeks ago I passed by Queenswood on a Saturday morning on the off chance I might be able to pick up a prescription and the place was locked up apart from outdoor access to the pharmacy downstairs.....

Somebody posted about this a couple of weeks ago: http://www.harringayonline.com/forum/topics/need-to-see-a-gp-or-nur...

Appointments don't cost anything, it's just like going to your usual GP.

Yes they are doing this in a lot of areas, including where I work. It's to mop up the patients that the surgeries can't see
Call me cynical but looks to me another step towards privatisation. The gov can turn round and say the NHS isn't working and bring in private contractors for the hub
But yes it is good esp if people have straight forward things to be dealt with, will offer both nurse. And Gp AppStore. But if you no X-rays, referrals etc, not so sure
That's great info, thank you. I find it hard to get to a GP in working hours.
