I don't know because this post contains zero information about the redevelopment.

Actually Sir, I was a founder member, l was the other dog walker that started this whole thing off. Myself and my fellow professional publicity team worked relentlessly for 3 years (unpaid! - In fact the services we gave were valued at over 300k!)  We were the ones that got the all the television exposure at the beginning by devising a film about our story and dispatching it to all the broadcasters and news agency's. As a result our footage was used by the BBC and London Live, it was available Worldwide and it was reportedly used on the Austrailian news too. We were also Shortlisted for Haringey's 50th Anniversary, film competition, so believe me l have sweated blood sweat and tears for this project, l admit that I was emotional at the meeting as l had discovered something l felt was inconsistent with the ethics of a community project.  I would ask you to come to the meeting on the 17th August, to express the way you feel, but all the comments are important and will still be addressed at this meeting if you can not.

I wish people would be a little more polite, and I would simply ask for some factual information about the proposal for development and what the concerns are. Are there any links you could put up here - or a flyer available from Bruce Castle or the Library for example? It's too late to read through stuff on the spot at the meeting.

I've been in the pub only 2 or 3 times as it's not in my immediate neighbourhood, but found it very pleasant. What are the proposed changes?

Thank you for your response, there are no links, there has been nothing released to the community other than on Facebook and Twitter, only the shareholders saw the plans at the AGM and this is the issue being raised by the community pre this forthcoming AGM.  We found the plans had been submitted to Haringey without any communication with shareholders or community. Several of us tried to oppose the plans but there were only five days left before the deadline and then the site crashed, we were unaware that the process could be extended, and we lost our chance as it closed. This gentleman does not realise that many letters had been written to the Antwerp committee before the AGM with regards to the subject and no response was ever made, we believe it was only with our pressure that the plans were introduced at the AGM. This man is saying there were 50 at the AGM but l counted far less, but the new development was passed by a motion.  Since then over a hundred local people have signed a petition to stop the development, doubling the vote of the shareholders! And like you they had previously heard nothing about it. Over the last 18 months l have written ten letters to the committee and l have only received one response.

This gentleman seems more emotionally involved than l am! -  So l look forward to having a debate with him when l meet him.

The link below shows you plans submitted to Haringey council, apart from that there is no more information available to you.

My rambling rant was because the grant was being awarded to us because it was for DEPRIVED URBAN AREAS...I was trying to make the point that the committee had commissioned a Winchmore Hill development company and that it would not benefit our community, our borough even! l tried to point out that locally we had the skills required, and these were the principles promised to this community when the pub was first obtained. The committee were very aware of this as you may recall that the chairman told the shareholders that the developer was based in Muswell Hill (our borough), which I corrected as it was not true - I was only highlighting the truth that it was a Winchmore Hill business. I will present a report from the community on the plans at the next AGM.

As for losing my pet project! I worked for you and the pub for three years carrying the burden of a chronic and debilitating illness and l am no longer well enough to carry on but l think it is clear that things took a steep nosedive when me and my talented team moved on.

Sir - There are common law precedents that shareholders can both ask questions and speak at meetings! But do your HOMEWORK for the next one as there are more surprises to come ...  And that is my last word on the subject so rant on !!

Not only me Nick!  And several others tried but the site crashed for 5 days !
