Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

Seen just now, 1pm, outside 98 Ranelagh Road N17 (just north of Philip Lane), a late 19thC dining chair with long back, dark varnished with an oval medallion of something Japanese on the centre splat. It looks sturdy, has those legs that curve out at the front corners. Would make a nice project but not my style!

It's survived a shower this morning but I would rescue it now while the sun is shining. It's not a busy road so probably won't be spotted by many people.

If I go out later I'll add a photo (didn't have camera with me at the time)

This sort of thing but Japanese-y

I'm probably going to go and rescue it (can I manage to carry it for 5 minutes?) so pm me if you're interested, as I really haven't got houseroom - just hate to see it get soaked.

Update - I rescued the chair and am holding it temporarily, here is a photo. Curiously, the people who were moving out had also picked it up from outside another house, and never got round to renovating it! It may well date from around the time these houses were built.
