Hi Peter, one of the best things I've done recently is have some coaching with www.finsburyparktennis.org.uk. I'm very much a beginner, hadn't picked up a racket for 30 years, and I'm amazed what fun it's been, miles better than what I did at school and you get to rally as well as learning correct grip and technique. These are small groups so you have a lot of individual attention. I've heard some coaches there do offer 1:1 so get in touch - Jason is the coordinator. All the coaches I've encountered are very good, friendly, encouraging and know their stuff: I've worked mainly with Ana. Happy for you to message me if you want a chat.
