Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

For some reason it looks lilac in the photos but it's actually a creamy colour with dark red marks.

It's a Blood-vein (Timandra Comae), a good find, common nationally but I haven't yet seen one around here. 

Anyone interested in moths locally could try contacting Woodberry Wetlands who have an enthusiastic moth group. Soon to be featured on the Countryfile urban wild-spaces feature along with Parkland Walk, etc.

The tigermoth is stunning.

This bedraggled moth came to die on my patio table tonight. Whatever it is, it was impressive.
