I'm told that at least one other Labour councillor has also received the "request" to come and talk to Cllr Reith and another Labour Party whip. Presumably this is also about their "offence" of being an adult human being who thinks their own thoughts and speaks their own words.
Apparently some people on the right-wing of Haringey Labour felt unfairly criticised by Aditya Chakrabortty's Guardian article on 3 July because he suggested Haringey's ruling clique are "zombie Blairites" who treat local people with "utter contempt" .
Now I can well imagine that the KoberTories are feeling sore and a bit puzzled. After all who are these local people to expect respect and consideration? Judged by the actions of Claire Kober, Cllr Alan Strickland and their chums, they are simply a few expendables and removable whose homes are inconveniently in the way of the new shining towers and wonderful Spurs walkways.
As for Labour councillors who continue to express profound and gut-wrenching concern about dozens of aspects of the Homes Destruction "Vehicle". Well how dare they expect to be treated with any leniency for this outrageous treasonous behaviour?
Who do they think they are? Just because they happen to be elected to represent local residents? Don't they know that demands for open debate, free speech, freedom of information and democracy may have applied to far away and long ago places like Apartheid South Africa and General Pinochet's Chile.
Are they needed here? No thanks, we're Koberville.

What is that two billion pound valuation? Or rather, WHEN is it? The funny thing about house price inflation is that it is driven solely by mortgages. Commercial property does not inflate the same way and nor do properties that are unmortgageable (see?). So my point is, when are they worth £2,000,000,000? Is it last year when the deal was effectively agreed and put up for tender (maybe the year before), or is it a date in the future presuming it's all going to be mortgageable properties? So two billion pounds could be too low or too high. The only guarantee is that the council and its tenants are going to get the short end of the stick.
In this relationship someone is the winner and it's not the people who live in Haringey.

The march was featured on C4 news yesterday evening, including interview with Claire Kober. I have to say she's very slick, but I don't believe a word of it. Not based on what happened at the Heygate Estate where Bovis Lendlease were also the partner

Thanks Mavic. I've now uploaded a screencap of that item to our YouTube channel and embedded it above in the original post.
I think the item is useful in that it summarises the issue and allows Claire Kober a right to reply. I had a quick look on Haringey's website for the "cast iron guarantee", but it wasn't immediately evident. If someone else can find it...........

Is this on P20 of the attached doc referenced in Agenda item 14? On a quick flick through it's all I could find.
The Council will assess each resident‟s circumstances individually, and this section sets out the rehousing options available to the majority of residents. However, in all cases, the overriding aim of this policy is to maximise the ability of residents to return to replacement homes in new developments where they wish to do so and to enable residents to move to comparable homes elsewhere in the borough where that is their preferred option, subject to any impact on schools and other social infrastructure.
Ther may be something that looks a little more like a cast iron guarantee, but I can't see it.
