This group of cottages stood at the western end of Priory Road near the foot of Muswell Hill. They were presumably named after the Friend family. See more about the Friend family here.

Comment by Hugh on November 12, 2021 at 9:39: If you look at this slightly later picture of the pound, you can see on the right the houses that stand there today. All the houses look to be of a uniform style suggesting tha they were built at the same time. So, anything in the photo above was probably swept away.
