I saw this flying over the New River on Wednesday. I told my partner I’d just seen an Egret flying overhead, don’t think he believed me. Thanks for proving me right. It’s a beautiful bird!

They are getting more common as our climate gradually warms (of course, just a correlation :)).

I saw this bird on Sunday 30th May. Amazing! There were also three white birds in the trees, too far away for me to identify.

My garden is next to where the river is in a tunnel. I sued to get flocks of geese passing over honking, I assume following the line of the river to the reservoir at Hornsey. They don't seem to pass over any more. But this morning, sitting out early, I had a couple of Egrets flying over.

So lovely to see them --quite a bit of Wildlife right on our Doorsteps--how lucky we are

Great photo. I saw 4 Egrets there about 10 days ago. They were feeding next to a heron, mallard & moorhen. 1267AD14-241D-4237-9096-49AAE38A08E9.jpeg
