Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This shows the pub before it was rebuilt. Newspaper reports in 1898 mention 'rapid rebuilding' and by early 1899, stories mention the new billiard hall opening. So, I assume that the new building was ready by the end of 1898.

Yes, thank you.  They are a fascinating glimpse of a bygone age.  I like the 'human interest' carefully posing outside each pub.
