The reason I asked is because my husbands Uncle Arthur was married to a Phyllis Wischeussen in 1936/37 and believe there was a son Michael - but as no one is around to ask anymore it’s all a bit vague. Unusual name though so probably a connection somewhere . Don’t they all look glamorous !
Hi Jan, let me shed some light for you. Aunty Phyllis then married Uncle Mike (Sampson), They had a daughter Tina who was born with cerebal paulsy and was confined to a wheelchair fo life. As far as I knew Uncle Mike was Michaels dad. I was never told anything different but then I was quite young so things like that were never really discussed. They ran a pub in St.Johns St. Islington called The New Red Lion. Michael was extremely clever and moved to Florida where, I think he worked for ICI. He discovered some chemical fertilizer and with financial backing from Mike and Phyllis him and Uncle Mike went into business in America and did very very well. Unfortunately Michael had a heart attack and died quite a few years back and they all moved back to the UK. Aunty Phyll died with heart problems around 1996 and Uncle Mike died around 2005 I think.Tina lives in a home for the handicapped last time I saw her.
Bunch of head turners alright ! Quite expensive wedding bills for some poor dads there I would reckon ?
"All out of Acacia Road" sounds like a race horse stud. But what a grand family photo.
Poor Tina seems to have missed out on everything..............
So come on Richard Woods.........how many of them did you have "the hots" for I wonder ???
Actually Tina married twice. Her first husband died . As far as I know she is still married to her second. For some reason she was the one who disconnected herself from the family. To be honest I don't even know if Tina is still alive. Last time I saw her was at a party my ex wife and I organised for mum and dad's 50th wedding anniversary. That was around 20 os so years ago.
