4th picture is 1 Willoughby Road 1967 where i grew up with mum and dad Eve and Jack Sleigh. He was a local meat trader and had a yard behind Wood Green underground station and a stall, I think, in Coleraine Road off of Green Lanes in Wood Green. If I remember correctly there used to be a little supermarket named Coplanas or something like that around the corner and the Criterion Restaurant owned by mum and dad's best friends Tina and Andreas Crysanthou. 5th picture is 1 Willoughby Rd now.
Happy Days - We lived opposite in 86 Frobisher and bought all out dog meat from Jack's stall. I recall him buying his wife a white and brown Sunbeam Rapier in about 1960 for a birthday or anniversary. Nice to see Jack and Eve again! Thank you Robert.
You're welcome. Unfortunately both gone now. Miss them both every day.
Mine too a few years back. We soldier on.
What a family of beauties you got there Robert ! I remember the Criterion Restaurant.
Andreas and Tina Chrysanthou were mum and dad's best friends and I used to play with their children on Ducketts Common as we grew up.
Our house at 1 Willoughby Road looks like it's been completely rebuilt now on google maps.
The Criterion once kindly squeezed us in for Christmas lunch after a burglary wiped out our Christmas! Nice given my dad was a copper!
