Nice picture - taken from the far side of the reservoir. It looks similar to a map I have dated 1894-1896

Close in you can see many people strolling on the slopes. I reckon this is about 1905 as the building is empty (caption says) and it was 1901 when an Act of Parliament made the local authorities responsible fro maintaining it as a public park.
