Friends Cottages near the Pound on Priory Road, c1890

This group of cottages stood at the western end of Priory Road near the foot of Muswell Hill. They were presumably named after the Friend family. See more about the Friend family here.

Uniforms : Postman on the left, and on the right could be 2 policemen ! There were 2 types of police helments in use in the 1880's https://gmic.co.uk/topic/63484-1880s-metropolitan-police-uniform-de...  this area though is presumably County of Middlesex and not Metropolitan, at the time ? Could the houses on the extreme left still exist ?

If you look at this slightly later picture of the pound, you can see on the right the houses that stand there today. All the houses look to be of a uniform style suggesting tha they were built at the same time. So, anything in the photo above was probably swept away.
