Clarendon Road was a close knit community , very little crime back then .It was a busy road only 175 yards long , A brewery ,2 carpenter yards , an electronics company ,Tissingtons Sweet Shop , a parrafin dealer , and of course the North Thames Gas Board .

The houses were well kept , clean and no junk outside , people used to sweep the gutters and when the milkman came with his horse and cart it was a race to get the horse manure for the vegetable patch .

All my be Aunts , Uncles ,Cousins lived on Clarendon Road , as did my Grandfather , and my Great Grandfather back in the 1800's .

Great memory's living there , but sadly it's all gone and replaced with office buildings and flats
