Bowes Park running-in boards

These original steel enamelled 'Bowes Park' station signs were recently sold for £280 on an auction site. www.gwra.co.uk/auctions/bycategory/49/53/Running-in-Boards.html

They would have been removed when the station was modified immediately prior to electrification on the line in 1976.
