Not really because of daisies although there were many. It's just a name that became accepted. The one outside the Public Baths was either The Swing Park or the Common, It is the Wood Green Common) The one to the left of it was Barratt park (Barratts sweet factory) River park had the New River (from a tunnel) through it although it was fenced off.    The park to the right of the Daisy Park joined by a Pedestrian Tunnel under the Palace Gates Railway line was called The Rose Gardens, for good reason as it had a massive display of Roses in beds all the way through to Boundsgreen Road. The park by Trinity school was the Fountain park (it Had the drinking fountain in it) The drinking Fountain before it was moved to the park. Trinity School & St Michaels Church in the distance.
