Lovely picture.  I used to live in the bottom half of Warham Road (1943-1968) and never knew you could see our school from the bridge over the New River - guess we were too small then to see over the top!! My mum used to give dire warnings about going too near the river!  This picture makes me think I'll have to re-visit !!!

Hi David,

I was at South Harringay Primary from 1947 then on to South Harringay Juniors in Mattison Road to about 1957 I guess.  Walked along the alley to Pemberton then Mattison Roads.  In the  smoggy days of the fifties I can vividly remember clutching the front garden railings on my left as I walked from my house, crossing the road. (Warham) then turning into the alley for school.

I only knew one David then, a David Berry who used to live directly across the road from our house, 97. Would that be you?

Hi Trisha, sadly not me but I do like your vivid description of your walk to school on foggy days, thankyou.
