I came across that Thames News YouTube channel a few months ago. It contains hundreds of videos like this, both finished reports and background shots. It's really interesting. There's one I found which is just various shots of the view from a high-rise council estate in Battersea, filmed in the early 1980s, I think. The camera pans around and zooms in and out, and you can see people walking about below and hear the distant sounds of traffic. Watching it is like going back in time. I also found a number of videos relating to the aftermath of the Broadwater Farm riot. I am not sure why someone has decided to upload all this material (and without proper labelling) but I'm glad they did.
