Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

From London Middlesex Gazette, July 1 1899

I'm not sure if this was North Harringay or South Harringay.

I found this picture of Fuller:

Fuller was one of the earliest slaves to be freed in Jamaica. He then went on to get a full education and travelled widely. He spent his last years living in Stoke Newington and is buried in Abney Park. A man to be better remembered than he is. More on him on Wikipedia.

Thanks Hugh. The reference has to be to North Harringay (founded 1893) as South Harringay only opened in 1904.

Thanks for that confirmation.
