Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!
An Air Raid Shelter under the Harringay Flyover
During World War II, an air raid shelter for the protection of civilians and employees during air-strikes and bombardments was built under the Harringay Flyover.
As you can see from this map (website no longer exists best available archive of the page is here) it is located behind Wightman Road roughly at the Warham/Seymour junction.

I didn't know about this. Thanks Liz. I wonder what it's used for now. Wouldn't it be magical if by some chance of fate it'd been pretty much left untouched since the War.

Just heard back from Network Rail. An emphatic no, I'm afraid. Something about us getting squished by a train on the East Coast Mainline if we don't have a special certificate. Not even possible if we had a staff member with us. They don't have an archive service so there are no records for us to request to look at either.
She did suggest the National Rail Museum might have some records, although she sounded dubious - I can but ask, you never know your luck.
