"The Hornsey Film" @ The Barbican, 12th May
On 28 May 1968, the students at North London's Hornsey College of Art took control of the building in an inspiring but short-lived experiment.
With the aid of some of the staff they attempted a revolution, believing that education should be communal and joyous, breaking down the teacher/pupil barrier.
Shot in the aftermath of the students' betrayal, The Hornsey Film shows the idealism, naivety and anger of the moment.
With music by the BBC Radiophonic Workshop's Malcolm Clarke.

The screening is followed by a panel discussion with Patricia Holland and former Hornsey students.
