Don't forget that they have been offered the Council-owned land - 0.4hectare of brownfield land 20 yards from the Victoria Line - for £3.4 million. The number of LuxuryFlats planned varied from report to report, from 95 to 152. This deal did not go to tender as Grainger is the 'preferred developer'.
While you're on that portal, have a look at the plans for a 19-storey tower at Tottenham Hale. This was originally to be an hotel but reality must have intruded, now it's for 194 PRIVATE sale flats. Not proving popular with the residents in the blocks to the north, who will never see daylight again.
Anyone else getting the feeling that time is up for these spivvy deals that do nothing for the those who live here, least of all those in housing need?
