An excellent article, Liz. Lots of complexities touched upon.

But, more parochially: has HOL done its advocacy of 'Harringay v Haringey' a little too well?
"Zaiben Hunter,15, and Justin Austen,14, go to secondary schools in Harringay." Where are these secondary schools hiding? I could have spent the past 30 years teaching here on my own doorstep had I but known!
yes I noticed that, and I wonder if it was a simple matter of the paper doing the usual trick of mixing up the two, but given how often the name of Haringey has been bandied about in recent weeks I wondered how that spelling would appear rather than the more familiar version of the borough. I concluded that the boys live in Harringay and the writers assumed there was a school here. I could be wrong.

I thought it was an excellent article too.
