The NP-11 has a built-in 2.5W x 2 amplifier and speaker system and a headphone socket for playing without disturbing others. There is also a metronome function to provide an accurate tempo when practising. Unlike the old fashioned ticking metronome, the sound can be heard through headphones so you can still practise quietly.
The touch sensitivity of the keyboard can be adjusted or even turned off completely which is useful for anyone who cannot press the keys firmly.
Additional Features for the More Advanced User
The NP-11 has a transpose facility to enable a song to be played in any key which is useful for accompanying singers or other instruments. There is also a fine tuning control. An optional foot pedal can be connected to provide sustain (damper) and there are MIDI IN/OUT sockets to enable connection to suitably equipped computers and other instruments.
The NP-11 features an Auto Power Off function that automatically turns off the instrument if it has not been used for approximately 30 minutes. This featured can be turned off if not required.
