I have been searching the internet for local knitting groups and other contacts.
I am trying to get the word around about My In-laws who have a shop located in Blackstock Road, near to Finsbury Park. After 35 years they have finally decided to call it a day and are retiring / closing down there shop.
They have slashed prices on all the goods they sell and are looking to clear stock before they close on the 23rd July.
The shop opening hours are Monday-Saturday 10am - 4pm and we always recommend that if someone is going to visit the shop they might wish to ring beforehand.Being a small business sometimes my inlaws have appointments to attend.
The address and telephone number of the shop is as follows:
Wools and Crafts
169 Blackstock Road, London, N4 2JS TELEPHONE NUMBER 020 7 3591274
They stock a wide selection of hand knitting wools and cottons, crochet cottons, knitting and crochet patterns, embroidery threads & kits, tapestry wools and kits, work baskets, haberdashery, dylon dyes hand & washing machine dyes and much more.
They have a lovely selection of yarns starting from 100% acrylics in both Patons and Robin to a fantastic range of 100% wool and blends in Rowan yarns, Wendy Yarns and Paton's.
Apologies for this direct approach but as they no longer have a website it is a case of trying to get this news out to as many people as possible.
Kind Regards
Tony

We don't normally allow free ads, Tony, but since your in-laws have been running the business for 35 years and they're retiring, we'll give you a bye on this one.
Sorry to hear that this excellent shop will be closing but wish your in-laws a long and happy retirement. If they have any unsold stock of knitting materials, they might like to consider a donation to Knit for Peace (www.knitforpeace.org.uk).
For info, most Haringey libraries have knitting/craft groups.
Very, very sad news. I will miss this shop a lot. Hope your in-laws have a long and happy retirement too.
