Does anyone have any wooden pallets they want to get rid of?

I'm looking for a specific kind, they look like this:

Or, 70cmx120x15cm.

Yes, I've looked around there.

It's not always obvious if they're free to take or, in use and there's not always anybody around to ask. I don't want to be a thief so thought I'd ask on here if anyone had any...

I saw both of these, no good to me I'm afraid. The ones in Clapham had gone and the ones in Edmonton aren't the right size. I look at gumtree regularly, I'm hoping there might be some locally...

I've seen some recently outside a depot at TP Lane end of the ladder. Possibly Falkland or Fairfax Rd but not sure. I don't know if they were exactly those ones but there were quite a lot of them.

From Twitter

We have one you can have at Islington Boxing Club, in the car park. Hazellville Rd N19 3LP

Thank you very much, I collected it earlier...

If anyone has anymore, I need three more this size: 100cmx120cm15cm

I'd rather only take them if the person that owns them is giving them away.

Thanks.
The boxing club looks interesting, it seemed pretty male. Are there classes for women, maybe a group?
It would be great to have these by the weekend, if anyone has any hanging around their garden or is having building work done...

There are loads of different types and sizes I'm looking for:

120cmX100cmX15

There are loads of these at the Selby Centre, Selby Road, Tottenham N17 - Wood Works Wonders Project. You ned to talk to Joel 0208 885 5499

Fantastic thank you, I'll check it out.

Hi Bethany, - it's good to see a request for used pallets.  You'll find they are like buses, you wait ages and none come along, then all of a sudden three come together!  Look down Green Lanes, many of the shops, one off Blackboy Lane for instance, have Watermelons delivered on pallets, often they want to get rid of them.  Look for the shops that sell heavy produce when it's delivered it often comes on these stronger type larger pallets you're looking for.   The only problem is the picking up & taking away!

Out of interest, what are you wanting to make or do with the pallets?  It's a subject close to our hearts at Natural Transformations- you sound like an ideal candidate that perhaps could help us?  Perhaps we could work on something with you?   We are looking for volunteers to join us in what it is we are proposing to do;

Natural Transformations - a new idea and concept that is still in it's embryotic stage and in need of assistance by as many people within the Redbridge, Essex, East London [to begin with] and bordering areas - who may wish to get involved in this new and exciting community based recycling project and scheme.

The objective of Natural Transformationsis multi-fold; which is to transform old industrial and household items by either refurbishing them or completely morphing them into another useful product, such as a wonderful new piece of furniture you can see listed throughout this website, alongside the transforming of the lives of those we intend to work with.

This whole experience from start to finish should be rewarding and enriching for all those who care to get involved.

We propose to offer work experience to the long-term unemployed and those recovering from perhaps drug or alcohol addiction or are on long term medication due to mental illnesses such as Schizophrenia; in fact this is the core ethos of Natural Transformations, the wanting to work with these types of people and why our proposal will help benefit local communities, the unemployed, mentally ill and the "unemployable" in general who many unfortunately have obtained criminal records and therefore often find themselves placed into.

Sustainable living means a whole variety of different things to different people, mainly because of the diverse type of lifestyles we are currently all living. It appears the majority of people know about sustainable living, yet it's the minority who perhaps practice such a lifestyle. Yet Natural Transformations own research seems to suggest we are not promoting sustainable living within our schools and educational system as a whole, in a way that we really ought to be; Woodworking, carpentry and joinery classes in general should be adopted throughout our world of academia, thus leading to qualifications in the subjects of sustainable living, as they would have learned how to reclaim, rebuild and recycle the objects that they learnt on and from.  Full article

How about using some to do chair bombing around Harrinagy?
