Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This from Tynemouth Area Residents Association in Tottenham:

Your members might be interested in a series of Wine Tasting Classes that I am running on behalf of funds for the Tynemouth Area Residents Association in Tottenham.
These will be on alternate Sunday evenings in June and July. I enclose the poster. Antill Road is inside the Tottenham one-way system.

Sunday 6 June 5.30-7.00pm, Session One - European Classics

We will have some wines from the best known regions of France, Germany, Italy and Spain, with a talk on what to look for in the glass.

Sunday 20 June 5.30-7.00pm, Session Two - Antipodean Fruit

Today we will taste wines from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa, with an emphasis on aromas and tastes in wine.

Sunday 4 July 5.30-7.00pm, Session Three - An American Adventure

A sweep down from Washington State to Chile and Argentina, plus some interesting stops in between: we will be looking for the effects of soil and climate on the wine.

Sunday 18 July 5.30-7.00pm, Session Four - Sparkling & Fortified

This evening we will share Sparkling wines from Europe and the New World; Sherry, Port and other sweeties, with a discussion on how wines are made.

Each session will cost £10 a person. Places must be booked in advance, with cash or a cheque to Ian McLaren.

Please give your contact details and the number(s) of the session(s) that you wish to attend. The tastings will be held at 87 Antill Road, N15 4AR. More information from editor@ukwineclub.org.uk

All profits will go to support the Tynemouth Area Residents Association (TARA), to help to pay for the Newsletter and maintain the Community Garden.
