Harringay, Haringey - So Good they Spelt it Twice!

This hop plant has been growing on our fence for several years, mixed with other climbers.  I didn't plant it so I assume that it is self seeded.  I have never made beer from scratch so I haven't experimented to see whether these hops would give a good flavour.

Sadly wild hops is not the same as the Hops used in brewing. The hops used in brewing is very domesticated. I wish it wasn't so, as it's bloody expensive importing hops from New Zealand.

But Kent still has hop fields. Are those hops not available for sale?

I would love to make a wreath of those beautiful flowers! If you can spare any, could I have a few please?

I should be happy for you to take as many as you wish.

Where are you? I will be in Lordship Rec tomorrow (at the Flower and Produce Show) and hoping that the rain holds off....... Have bike; can travel.

I have sent you a connection request.
